The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is a spectacular entertainment facility to take in a variety of world-renowned performances.  The Center is comprised of two theaters; The Amaturo Theater that seats 590 patrons, and the larger 2,688-seat Au-Rene Theater.

Other venues affiliated with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts that also offer myriad of headlining performing arts acts are the 1,100-seat Parker Playhouse on Northeast 8th Street, 500-seat Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at Nova Southeastern University, and 498-seat Miramar Cultural Center in nearby Miramar Florida.

Entertaining Off Broadway-style shows can be seen via the Inside Out Theatre Company at the Museum of Art, The Stage Door Theatre in Coral Springs, and The Mosaic Theatre in Plantation.  

Care to be awed by a fine operatic presentation?  Then we encourage you to treat yourself to a performance by the area's very own Florida Grand Opera.

Dinner theatre aficionados can treat themselves to a gratifying night of fun and flavorful fare at the Tatiana Cabaret Show Restaurant in Hallandale Beach.

The Gold Coast Jazz Society hosts workshops, performances, and regularly scheduled jam sessions as ways to raise awareness and promote jazz music in the community.

There are two talented children's choirs that perform often throughout Broward County; The Florida's Singing Sons Boychoir and The Girl Choir of South Florida.

Just steps from the beach in downtown Fort Lauderdale is the Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District, which offers all kinds of cultural attractions to compliment their many restaurants and shops.

In nearby Hollywood, there is plenty of performing arts action going on for you to pursue.  First, there's the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, that has offered visual and performing arts programs for the past thirty years. There's also the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center, managed by the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.  At the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino there's Hard Rock Live, a state-of-the-art arena home to big name musical acts, professional boxing and other high-energy events. The Improv Comedy Club & Dinner Theatre is also at the Hard Rock, if you're in the mood for tremendous laughs and food.

If you're looking for more of a pop culture performance in a massive arena-type setting, you can't go wrong with either the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise or the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
