Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is a much improved facility from years past.  It is easily accessible via I-95 and I-595.  Adequate parking is available and there quite a few airlines that service this facility. Miami International Airport is of course the major hub in the region, serving millions of passengers annually.  To find out more about Miami International Airport, visit www.miami-airport.com.  With moderate traffic, It is an hour drive from downtown Fort Lauderdale to Miami International, and vice versa.  If the flow of traffic is steady, it should take a little over an hour to get to Miami International Airport from central Fort Lauderdale.

A third alternative is North of Fort Lauderdale in Palm Beach County.  Palm Beach International Airport is the smallest of the trio of major airports in South Florida, but is a thriving air transportation facility nonetheless.  Palm Beach International Airport's website has all the latest information for you to use.  We suggest utilizing this airport if you can't get the flights you want and/or a good deal flying out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.  Travel time from downtown Fort Lauderdale to Palm Beach International Airport usually takes 1.5 hours in moderate traffic.

Please keep in mind that when planning a trip to South Florida, flights between November to March usually fill up months in advance. If you are looking to come to the Miami Beach area during this time frame, we recommend arranging your air travel as far in advance as possible.  It will give you and those traveling with you the piece of mind in knowing your seats to sunny Miami Beach are secure and reserved.  Plus, when you book ahead, you might just be able to get a really great deal on your tickets!
